REST IN ETERNAL PEACE JASON STEPHEN COLACO

 Jason Stephen Colaco

Colaco, Jason passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026 at the age of 91. Youngest son of Constancio and Irene Colaco. Predeceased by siblings Louisa, Grace, Pascoal, Bernard, and Joana. Devoted husband of the late Jessie Colaco, nee Vaz. Proud father of Jerome (Karen) and Jennifer (Martin). Cherished grandfather of Shane, Hailey, Dominic, and Katherine. Jason will be dearly missed by his sister-in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces, and countless friends.

With ancestral roots in Goa, Jason’s life spread over Belgaum, Bombay, Zanzibar and Canada. Scarborough, Ontario is where he eventually settled, married the love of his life, raised his family, and resided for the last 60 years. After retiring as a nuclear operator from Ontario Hydro, Jason had more time to pursue his many passions. He enjoyed cooking Goan food, playing bridge, tending to his garden, reading fiction, and golfing with his family and friends. Jason inherited a true love of music and will be fondly remembered for enthusiastically providing guitar accompaniment to various bands, choirs, and parties.

Jason’s family wishes to thank the dedicated staff at Presentation Manor retirement home for their exceptional care over the last seven years, especially on the memory care floor. Those wishing to make a donation may direct it to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Funeral details to follow.
