Dear Mr Fernandes,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Bridget, and I handle author sessions for The Wingren Readers’ Club, a private group of readers who gather from different parts of the world to explore stories that carry history, memory, and truth.

Your work, especially Twilight of the Exiles, touched a deep place in me. The way you capture the ache and pride of displacement...the memory of belonging and the longing that never quite fades...is both powerful and necessary. Many of our readers are drawn to stories like yours, where lived experience meets history and nostalgia in its most human form.

We would be honoured to feature you in one of our sessions, where you could share your journey and reflections with our readers. Our author sessions are intimate conversations, never commercial, and simply meant to give both author and readers a meaningful exchange.

We don’t charge authors for participation, though we do ask for a small spot reservation fee just to confirm and secure each author’s place on our calendar.

I would be delighted to share more details if this invitation interests you. It would truly be a privilege to bring your voice and story to our global reading circle.

Warm regards,
Bridget

Have to live with pain for the rest of my life! Home at last, thanks to all of your prayers and kind wishes! From Mzee Mervyn Maciel to all of you. Morning Skip. Please don’t think I am or have been ignoring you – quite the opposite hard to spill it out with diminishing gufu (strength). Wish they could establish what is causing the chronic bleeding in my brain region. I want to sing again and write so much however gufu na shindwa mimi (lack strength is hampering me. Please thank everyone for their prayers and for enriching my life. I was the dunce in the family: My brothers Rev Joseph SJ and the late Wilfrid are my heroes. I owe them so much, also my darling Elsie and each of my loving children, including Conrad who suffered so much during his short life. Our faith kept us going during those painful days in Marsab...
